The Spiro Explorer Scout Unit and 1st Polegate Scouts along with their leaders enjoyed an amazing summer expedition to Wings 2014.
The international camp for Scouts and Guides held at Windsor Great Park has become a firm favourite with Eastbourne Scouts who first visited in 2009.
The camp played host to more than 7,000 scouts and guides from all over the world.
Scouting spokesperson Ian Watling said that during the camp the scouts enjoyed a spectacular opening ceremony with live music on stage and amazing firework display.
Daytime activities included dragon boat racing, raft building and kayaking in the Splash It Zone while in the Live It Zone, they took part in some more practical tasks like mending washing machines.
The usual favourites were available to enjoy like archery, zorbing and some frantic wheelchair racing.
A highlight of the camp was the Wings Got Talent show offering budding stars the opportunity to shine.
Rachel Bigsby, Explorer Scout from Spiro, said, “The camp was a crazy week full of fun, sun and lots of new people. I have come away with great memories and selfies of a lovely week spent with wonderful people, it was a week I will never forget.”
