The Save the DGH campaign team will also be looking to enter the record books this weekend at Airbourne by making the world’s largest postcard, to call for the protection of the hospital’s vital core maternity and paediatric services.
The stunt will take place tomorrow (Saturday) at 12.15pm in the Arena, and the team will be looking for supporters to sign the card and take part in this exciting record attempt across the weekend.
The postcard is a whopping size of 54 metres square , which is the size needed to beat the current record of 52 metres squar, held by Nova Gorica in Slovenia.
MP Stephen Lloyd said, “I am very excited about supporting the SavetheDGH’s efforts to gain a place in the record books, which will make this year’s Airbourne one to remember!”
Liz Walke, chair of the Save the DGH campaign, said: “This a fantastic opportunity for people to show their support for this campaign. I ask all those who oppose these changes, to come and sign the card, which will be delivered to the DGH during a march on September 7.”
