A 23-YEAR-OLD from East Dean is on course to raise £500 for Sussex Air Ambulance after finishing the Brighton Marathon.
Alaster Osborne from The Fridays crossed the line in 4 hours 28 minutes, raising money for the emergency response helicopter service which relies almost entirely on public donations.
Mr Osborne, also a volunteer at the charity, said, “I found it a good experience and I hit the wall two miles later than I did last year, which was an improvement nonetheless. I also carried a Sussex Air Ambulance banner for seven miles which hurt my arms just as much as the running hurt my legs.
“The reason I carried the banner was because I wanted to raise awareness of the charity.”
