A charity which helps support paramedics in and around Eastbourne has been given a welcome boost by a local supermarket.

Sainsbury’s in Broadwater Way in Hampden Park raised £1,800 for the Eastbourne Responders team.

And representatives from the charity met with the store’s management earlier this week to hand over a cheque for the donation, which will be used to help fund its vital work.

Eastbourne Mayor Councillor Mike Thompson was also on hand to pay his own tribute to the volunteers at Eastbourne Responders.
