The Friends of Pashley Down Infant School raised a record-breaking £4,800 at its annual summer fair last weekend (June 28).

The money will go towards new outdoor equipment for the children. As well as the usual range of popular stalls such as candyfloss, name the teddy, lob a loo roll and a treasure hunt, children were delighted with a surprise visit from a fire engine, the police and there was even the chance to ride on a steam train.

Chair of the Friends of Pashley, Tamara Pescatore, said, “I’d like to thank everyone who helped make our summer fair the best yet.”
