Ratton entertains Japanese students

RATTON Secondary School hosted 44 Japanese students from the Kyoto High School for the ninth year.

Students are buddied with Ratton girls and boys and follow a tailor-made timetable giving them an insight into British education.

Ian Turner, from ELAC, said, “This is an invaluable opportunity to exchange cultural lifestyles which are shown in a short presentation by the students from Japan.

“The Japanese students joined in PE, drama, dance, English, and science.”

On the last day of their visit the Kyoto students performed a Fish Folk Dance for the Ratton students.

Ian Turner and Jill Court, the bursar at Ratton, organised the visit and Ratton also host Austrian students with ELAC.
