A cyclist who filmed himself ranting at a motorist he felt had dangerously overtaken him in Eastbourne has handed himself in to the police.

The video showing the cyclist’s rant at the female motorist in an Eastbourne supermarket car park went viral.

A spokesperson at Sussex Police said today (Monday), “A cyclist whose altercation with a woman in Eastbourne was captured on video and posted on social media has been spoken to by police.

“He voluntarily attended a police station and was given words of advice about his conduct.”

The cyclist, who has not been identified, filmed the whole incident between himself and the female motorist in the car park of Lidl in St Anthony’s and then it was put on YouTube saying the woman had “dangerously overtaken him”.
