Profits raised from Craft Pier, the new beer brewed to raise money for the Pier Benevolent Fund, was handed over this week. The Long Man Brewery, The Dolphin Pub in Eastbourne and the town’s Curious Beer Club teamed up to raise £10,000 for the charity.

The Pier Benevolent Fund was set up to help those affected by the pier fire. So far the beer has raised £2,500, but the summer beer will be back on sale later this year, to continue raising cash for the cause.

Jamie Simm, head brewer at Long Man Brewery said, “We’re still very much set on reaching that £10,000 target and feel we are on track for that.”
