The pupils were evacuated to Sheffield Park

Pupils from Newlands School were evacuated to Sheffield Park as part of their WW2 project.

The children from the junior prep department had to ensure they had their gas marks with them at all times and keep their name tags visible. During the journey they played cat’s cradle and Jacks, which were popular games of the time.
