LITTLE ones at Annecy School enjoyed a day out at Newhaven Port.
The Amethyst Class started the day off at the fishing terminal, looking at boats and seeing a big variety of fish.
They also visited the lifeboat station and found out all about the RNLI and the work people do helping others in danger at sea.
During the day the children, who found out there had been a port at Newhaven for 200 years, visited the ferry port where they discovered what you have to do if you want to travel on the ferry.
While the pupils were there they went through a metal detector, filled in boarding cards and were amazed by the two-way mirrors that allow staff to look at the people waiting to board.
