A new event that will crown the brainiest profession in Eastbourne has been launched in the town in aid of a local charity.
The Professionals Quiz Night was launched at Eastbourne’s View Hotel earlier this week with the first event due to take place on Thursday, March 26.

The quiz night will include teams of six from trades and jobs across the town as they battle it out for the title of most intelligent profession.
Tickets are £25 each, which includes dinner, with all proceeds from the evening being donated to Sussex-based charity, the Children’s Respite Trust.
The Trust’s chief executive, Gavin Fisher, said, “We’re delighted to have the support of these sponsors for what looks set to be a high quality night for the local business community. It won’t be like your usual quiz night, given the venue, the dinner and around 100 local business people present.”
The Professionals Quiz Night is open to all trades, from bankers to builders and electricians to estate agents.
There will also be some special guest question-masters, including the town’s MP, Stephen Lloyd.
The event is sponsored by Andy Hayes-Smith, from CHS Electrical, Caroline Cole of Savoir Faire Accounting, Zita Ginger of Ginger and Sanders Lettings and Carlton Property Management.
The event will take place at The View Hotel and tickets are available from the Children’s Respite Trust’s offices in East Hoathly or by calling 01435 205004.
The Children’s Respite Trust is a registered charity that supports children with disabilities and their families by helping them to get a break in centres across the county. For details, visit www.child rensrespitetrust.org.uk.
