A CAMPAIGN to show off the best of Sussex and attract tourism during the Olympics was launched at Eastbourne International Tennis Week.
The Love Sussex drive got underway at Devonshire Park where AEGON staff were decked out in special t-shirts and arranged themselves into the shape of a heart.
Pink bags were also handed out to tennis fans during the day, containing lots of information on Sussex as well as pin badges, stickers, bookmarks and pens.
A Love Sussex website went live last month and is jam packed with information on the county and suggestions for days out in the hope of enticing people visiting the capital for the London Olympics to catch a train south in their spare time.
Eastbourne Borough Council’s head of tourism, Councillor Neil Stanley, said, “Using the AEGON International as a way to promote why we Love Sussex is a great idea for Eastbourne.
“It’s a fantastic event to highlight why we’re delighted to be joining forces with other Sussex destinations for the Love Sussex campaign. This is definitely the year to promote our region, since there is so much going on in London and if people are looking for things to do out of the city our county is so diverse that there’s something for everyone.”
