Police in Seaford are warning anyone who uses the public car park at Tide Mills to be on their guard following a recent theft there.

Between 2pm and 3pm on Sunday, April 12, a handbag and its contents were stolen from the back seat of a parked white Vauxhall Agila after the driver’s door window was broken.

Local police are advising anybody who parks in this or similar beauty spots to always make sure that they never leave any valuables or bags in plain sight in their vehicles and make sure that their vehicles are properly secured.

Anyone with any information about this or any similar offences is asked to contact the police via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 873 of 12/4.

You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
