Police street meetings begin

A SERIES of street meetings are being held by police in the area tomorrow (Thursday June 16) so residents can discuss any concerns.

They have been organised by Wealden Police and will be held at various locations in Hailsham, Westham, Pevensey Bay, Polegate, Willingdon and Hellingly.

They will be hosted by PCSOs and are an ideal opportunity for residents to talk about anti social behaviour and any problems.

The first is at 9am in Hawkstown Crescent on the grass verge and there will be another at 9.30am in Summerheath Road, Hailsham.

They will be followed by separate meetings at 10am in Val Prinseps Road, Pevensey Bay, and Summerdown Lane, East Dean.

At 10.30am there will be a street meeting at Tesco in Hailsham and at 11am in Channel View Road, Pevensey Bay. The next Hailsham meeting is at 11.30am in Bramble Drive followed by one at midday in Wenthill gardens, Willingdon, 12.30pm in Winton Street, Alfriston, 12.30pm in Caburn Way, Hailsham, 12.30pm in Quinnell Drive, Hailsham, 12.30pm at the War Memorial in Vicarage Field, 1pm at the Haven in Hailsham, 1pm at Diplocks In Ball Court, Hailsham, 1.30pm at Old Berwick opposite the Cricketer’s Arms, 2pm at The Drive outside Bunny Run Nursery, Hellingly, 2pm South Road by Cacklebury Stores, Hailsham, 2pm Tott Yew Road, Willingdon, 2.30pm Bowley Road, Hailsham, 2.30pm at Waterloo Square in Alfriston’s High Street, 3pm Park Road, Hellingly, 3.30pm the Market Square in Hailsham, 4pm at Pheonix Close, Hailsham, 4pm at Victoria Road, Polegate, 5pm Horsebridge Road outside the garages, 6pm High Street, Hailsham, 6pm Brook Street, Polegate, 7pm in St John’s Drive, Westham, and finally 7.30pm Tesco in Hailsham.
