Police seeking man who smashed pensioner’s windscreen in Eastbourne

Police are seeking a man who smashed a elderly woman’s windscreen after she accidentally came in contact with a parked car.

A 70-year-old woman on a mobility scooter was travelling along Seaside, Eastbourne at around 9.30pm on Friday August 21 when she accidently came into contact with a parked car.

She was then approached by a man who accused her of damaging the vehicle.

The man used a torch to smash the windscreen of her scooter before walking off towards the nearby Tesco store.

The victim suffered a slight injury to her hand and was shaken up.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the suspect. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1709 of 21/08.
