A cyclist suffered severe injuries after a crash in Meads on Saturday (October 25).
The 46-year-old, on a grey Cannondale bike, was in collision with a silver Renault Megane Scenic car, driven by a 38-year-old man, at the junction of Carlisle Road and Granville Road.
The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was flown by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, London, where he is in a serious but stable condition. The car driver was unhurt.
The scene was cordoned off and the road was closed for more than four hours while emergency services were at the scene.
