Police seek dog walker after assault in Eastbourne park

Police are looking for a dog walker who may have information about an assault on a woman in an Eastbourne park on Sunday (February 21).

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was walking her dog at around 8am in Helen Garden when she was approached by a man who was also walking dogs.

The man, who the victim has seen in the park before, began talking to her before grabbing and trying to kiss her.

The victim was able to free herself and leave the park.

The man is described as Asian, in his 50s, around 5ft 8ins tall. He spoke with a southern British accent, mentioned Hailsham when talking to her and drove a dark blue VW Golf.

The victim thinks he may be called Dennis.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who believes they know the identity of the man is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 1057 of 21/02.
