Police search for man in connection with Eastbourne affray

Police are looking for a man who they need to speak to following an incident where a car was driven at a police vehicle in Eastbourne on Monday (January 5).

Ryan Skinner, 29, from Eastbourne, made off from the scene in Shepherd’s Close at about 10am. Despite a search of the area and enquiries, he remains outstanding.

He is white, 6’, of slim build and short dark hair.

Two other men were arrested at the time after a parked police vehicle which was empty was driven into by a BMW.

Roderick Hepburn, 45, of Quebec Close, Eastbourne, is charged with affray, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of a bladed article, assaulting a PC with intent to resist arrest, dangerous driving and drink-driving.

Jarryd Smith, 25, of no fixed address, is charged with affray, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of a bladed article and assaulting a PC with intent to resist arrest.

They appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (January 6) and have been bailed to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 5 February.
