Police have released an e-fit image of a burglar who was disturbed in a Hailsham house.

At about 6pm on Tuesday, March 24, the man was discovered in the bedroom of the address in Jasmine Green, Hailsham by the occupant and his grandson. The man was rifling through bedroom drawers but after being discovered, he immediately ran off via the rear conservatory door. Nothing was taken.

The suspect is described as white, with a ‘weathered’ complexion, in his early forties, between 6’2” and 6’4” and of stocky build. He was wearing an anorak and peaked baseball cap but the colours are unknown other than that they were dark.

Detective Constable Sheila Bonell of the East Sussex Priority Crime Team said, “If you think you know who this man is, or have any other information, please contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1223 of 24/3. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
