Police are appealing for witnesses to separate assaults on two men in their 20s who were attacked in Langney Road and Terminus Road on Monday (28 October). The victims were walking home when the assaults took place between 11.30pm and midnight. Both received injuries to their faces which required treatment.

The two incidents involved a group of approximately six young men described as being predominantly dark-skinned and in their late teens and early 20s. The two victims were not together and whilst these incidents were separate they are being treated as linked.

A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Hastings, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have both been bailed until January 28.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 2299 of 28/10 or e-mail contact.centre@sussex.pnn.police.uk. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
