The police helicopter was out above Eastbourne last night (April 7) to help search for a missing elderly man.
The man was reported missing from a care home in the town at around 3.15pm.
A search of the area, including the beach and the railway station, was carried out by both the helicopter and officers on the ground.
Police say the search was called off at 6.20pm after officers were informed the man was at Eastbourne DGH.
He had been found by a passer-by shortly after he was first reported missing and had then checked himself in to the hospital.
