Sussex Police has donated £500 to the Friends of Bourne School Association in Eastbourne.

The association consists of parents and staff past and present and looks after the best interests of the current pupils. The association said the donation will be put towards new playground equipment at the school for the children to enjoy.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

Police officers then give out cash from the pot to chosen charities or groups in their local communities.
