The organisation, Bourne Out, helps people from the LGBT community who feel isolated or vulnerable by offering advice, the chance to make new friendships and to feel part of a community.

Betty Gallacher, Bourne Out’s Chairperson said, “I would like to say a huge thank you for the generous donation of £500.

“Be assured it will be used wisely for the good of the LGBT community and for the town of Eastbourne. I would also like to thank PC Vicky Bishop for help in obtaining the grant and her continued support.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of money received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
