Police appeal after dog attack in Eastbourne

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was bitten by a dog in Eastbourne.The 35-year-old victim was walking along Milton Road at about 3pm on September 22 when a terrier-type dog being walked by a middle-aged couple leapt at him and bit him on the hand.

The dog then leapt at him again and ripped his t-shirt.

The animal, which was on a lead, was of average size and had wispy grey and white wiry hair.

PC Jeremy Lowe said, “I would like to speak to anyone who was in Milton Road and saw what happened.

“We need to trace the owners of the dog so that we can speak to them about the incident.”
