Nearly 300 people from Eastbourne have helped set a new World Record for the largest number of people linking up with teddies in aid of Children In Need.

Around 296 people brought their teddy bears to the Eastbourne Arndale Centre at 3pm this afternoon (October 29).

Organisers say they believe it to be the largest continuous chain of people holding teddy bears in the world.

The event saw Pudsey Bear joined by Eastbourne’s own Henrietta Hippo from the Hippodrome Theatre and Enterprise Eddie from the Enterprise Centre.
