A toy bunny lost at Drusillas Park earlier this week has been reunited with its owner.
After realising the rabbit had been accidentally left behind at the zoo, staff at the park launched a social media campaign to find the owners.
Drusillas posted a number of photos of bunny enjoying adventures at the park on its Facebook page, including with the zoo’s monkeys, reindeers and flamingoes.
On Friday, November 27, Drusillas posted a message to say the bunny had been reunited with its owner, one-year-old Scarlet. The post said: “We are THRILLED to announce that our lovely #runawaybunny has been reunited with its owner! HOORAY! #weloveahappyending.
“ The little bunny went back home with one-year-old Scarlet today, and she was over the moon about it! She calls the bunny ‘baby’ and can’t sleep without it so we’re very happy to see the two back together, ready for a sound night’s sleep and sweet dreams of Drusillas.
“We can’t say that we won’t be a tiny bit sad to not have bunny around the park anymore (he had quite a lot of adventures with us here!) but we were SO happy to see Scarlet’s little face light up when she saw her ‘baby’.
“Thank you to all you lovely Drusillites for liking, sharing and making this heartwarming reunion happen. #weloveyouguys #feelingfuzzyinside.”
