THOUSANDS of people took part in the Save the DGH march and rally along Eastbourne seafront on Saturday.
Armed with banners and placards, people of all ages walked from the Redoubt the Wish Tower Slopes to show NHS decision makers current plans to centralise key services are both unpopular and unwanted.
The walk ended at the Wish Tower when speakers urged people to send letters to the Government urging the health minister to intervene and block the plans which would see core services at the Kings Drive hospital downgraded.
