Paws for thought at St Anne’s vets open day

AN EASTBOURNE veterinary practice is holding an open day to celebrate 65 years of looking after the town’s pets on July 3.

The event is at the main St Anne’s centre in St Anne’s Road between 10am and 2pm. Menna Field, from the vets, said, “There will be behind the scenes tours and a chance to meet our vets and nurses. We’ll also be running a junior vet nurse academy and we’ll have first aid classes for owners, quizzes and games, a tombola, face painting and a cake stall.

“There will be several specialist clinics for people to ask advice including a pet hydrotherapist and physiotherapist, pet behaviour clinic, parasite control advice, pet nutrition and reptile handling.”

Eastbourne’s dog warden will be attending along with charities Canine Partners, which will do a dog demonstration, Caring for Cats, which will have a stall selling goods and Rabbit Rescue, which will be bringing rabbits for people to see.
