HAMPDEN Park hopes to to put its own entry in to next year’s Eastbourne Carnival.
The carnival is being revived after a gap of more than 20 years and is expected to take place along the seafront in June next year.
At the last meeting of the Hampden Park Neighbourhood Panel members agreed to form a carnival club to put together an entry.
An inaugural meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 11, at 7pm in the Railway Club, Station Approach.
Sandy Boyce-Sharpe, from the panel, said, “It will be necessary to agree type of entry, hire of vehicle, equipment, fundraising, etc.
“It could have a tableau, a theme, walking entries, marching, dancing, a band or taped music, lights – something for everyone young and old.
“We want people to come along and throw ideas into the discussion. This will be a great joint project for the whole village.”
