Pancake race for children’s hospice

A group which raises funds for a children’s hospice organisation is hosting a pancake race.

The Friends of Demelza, Hailsham group are going flipping mad with the batter-based fundraiser.

The group have organised a pancake race in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for Children on Saturday February 17.

The culinary challenge takes place at Union Corner Hall in Hawks Road, Hailsham from 2pm to 4.30pm. Teams of four are invited with two age categories, 11-16 year olds and 17 years old and over.

Teams need to book in advance and bring their own 8” frying pan – pancakes are provided.

The cost is £6 per team.

Demelza provides a hospice at home care service for families in Hailsham and across East Sussex by providing respite, support and end of life care for life limited and life threatened children.

Demelza provides care and a place to play for nearly 800 children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.
