Friends of Queen Alexander Cottage Homes held its annual open garden event last weekend.

The homes, which are 110 years old, put on live music, a cream tea and raffle.

Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell attended the event.

The two regular gardeners who worked hard in the preparations for the day have been thanked for their efforts. A total of £415 was raised for the residents of the homes.
