Ambitious plans for a state of the art medical centre in Old Town’s Victoria Drive have been submitted to the council.
The new facility could be built on the Victoria Drive Bowling Green next to the new Sainsbury’s store and the junction with Victoria Gardens if the plans are approved by councillors.
The proposal by Row Properties includes a three storey 2,004 square metre medical centre and car park and part of the plan is for the Green Street Clinic to move in as its existing premises nearby are too small.
A spokesperson for Row Properties said, “The new building will be a state of the art medical centre to best serve the needs of the local population.
“It will contain 17 consulting rooms, a pharmacy, five trainee rooms for minor ops and recovery, a physical therapy room and a reception.
“The main entrance will be facing Victoria Drive opposite Albert Parade with a car park for 38 cars.”
