The Historic Old Town group is holding a St George’s Day Traditional Fayre on April 25 (12.30pm-5pm).
The event will be held in the Old Parsonage and grounds behind St Mary’s Parish Church and boasts fun for all the family including stalls, music and entertainment.
The Ragged Phoenix Morris Dancers (pictured above) will be performing in Ocklynge Road to start the event at 12.20pm, and the mayor will officially open the fayre at 12.30pm.
The Sea Gypsies Belly Dancers will be dancing in the Well Gardens at 3.30pm.
Other attractions include a hurdy gurdy, juggling and circus skills, balloon modelling and children’s rides.
Refreshments will be available in the Old Parsonage and will include tea, coffee and soft drinks, delicious cakes and bacon butties along with vegetarian options.
Admission costs £1 for adults (under 16s free) and all monies raised will be used to fund Historic Old Town projects, such as Heritage Boards about the history of this ancient area, improved signage and Information leaflets.
