A STUDENT only ‘lock-in event will be held at the Eastbourne Arndale Centre during Freshers’ Week.
The special event, for one night only, will be open to students between 7pm and 10pm on Thursday September 27.
Students can expect live music, DJs, spot prizes, promotions and exclusive offers from over 80 per cent of the Arndale Centre’s stores including Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, Topshop, New Look, Animal, Blue Inc. and Robert Dyas.
Other shops including Primark, JD Sports, Sainsbury’s and Boots will also be open.
One lucky student will even win a brand new iPad.
There are 7,000 students in and around Eastbourne taking in the University of Brighton and Sussex Downs College and the Student Union is supporting the event; which is anticipated to attract up to 6,000 of its members.
Students are being encouraged to log on to the Eastbourne Arndale Shopping Centre’s website to keep up to date with the latest promotion, offer and entertainment news.
Centre manager Bill Plumridge said, “Education is an important part of our economy.
“Every year, new students arrive on the south coast to study and socialise in a wonderful environment.
“We’re hoping that the lock-in will be very popular as we hope to make it an annual event.”
