AN EASTBOURNE author is celebrating after publishing her autobiography – at the age of 98.

Dr Nina Murray, who will be 99 in June and lives at the Hawthorns, has written an autobiography called Ninachka and shared it with friends. The book of her life is dedicated to the memory of her late husband Admiral Leonard Warren Murray and her father Sergei Shcheyteenin.

She describes how she, her brother and her parents fled Russia amid the turmoil of the revolution and came to settle in England at the invitation of an English friend.

Dr Murray goes into detail about her early life in Russia, her medical career in England and her marriage to Admiral Murray. She has been a resident at the Hawthorns since May 2008.
