Achiever's Awards celebrates Eastbourne's finest

HUNDREDS celebrated the achievements of Eastbourne's finest at the Winter Garden on Wednesday evening (May 26) at the Herald-Rotary AM Achievers Awards 2010.

The glitzy award ceremony recognised the town's unsung heroes for their community endeavour.

The Herald's Keith Ridley, editor-in-chief, and Rotarian Melanie Adams hosted the event together and the sponsors for each category were invited up on the stage to present the deserving winners with their awards.

The event also raised money for charity and Achievers organisers were delighted to be able to present a 6,000 cheque for SASBAH, a local charity for people in Sussex who suffer from spina bifida or hydrocephalus to create and develop opportunities.
