A new hotel on Eastbourne seafront is donating all furniture from its previous operators to the British Heart Foundation.

The Shore View Hotel was formerly a Travelodge but is now being refurbished. The 90-bed hotel was fully equipped with beds, dressers, chairs and other furniture – all of which is being given to the British Heart Foundation for sale in their Eastbourne shop.

Hotel manager Andy Bruce said, “We are very happy to donate the furniture to the British Heart Foundation which does such a lot of good.

“Not only do they fund research towards curing heart disease, they also make furniture available to those who can’t afford to buy it new.”

Refurbishment of the Shore View is set to be completed in late July 2013.
