Pre-school children are invited to Friston Forest for muddy fun and games with Sussex Wildlife Trust Nature Tots this September.
Weekly sessions from 10am to noon explore the woodland with a range of hands-on bushcrafts including sawing, den building and making mud monsters. The Trust says child-led achievable activities are designed to boost confidence, physical development and creativity.
From autumn, leaf collages to hedgehog hibernation, each week is themed around wildlife and the seasons, providing a wonderful opportunity to learn from nature and develop a life-long love of the outdoors. Suitable for ages three to five, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
The next block of seven weekly sessions in Friston Forest at Seven Sisters Country Park starts September 9.
