CHILDREN enjoyed face painting and a visit from Eastbourne MP Stephen Lloyd at the opening of a new education centre.
The Gen2 Kip McGrath Centre at The Bourne Hall, Bourne Street, was officially opened by the town’s MP last week.
The new centre provides after school and Saturday morning tuition in English and maths for pupils of all abilities between five and 16 years old.
The director of the centre is Linda Mepham who has more than 20 years’ teaching experience.
The business advisers at Ten Sixty Six Enterprise helped Linda get the idea for the new centre off the ground.
Graham Marley, chief executive, said, “It is incredibly rewarding for the whole team when one of the people we support launches an exciting new business.”
