A motorcyclist suffered a broken leg after a crash on the A22 this morning (July 4).

Police say emergency services were called to the A22 at Lower Dicker at around 7.20am after a car and a motorcycle collided at the junction with Coldharbour Lane.

The motorcyclist, riding a black Suzuki, suffered a broken left leg and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The driver of the car, a red Renault Clio, was treated for shock at the scene.

The road was partially blocked for around two hours but has now reopened.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have other information is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 188 of 04/07.
