Motorcyclist, 31, dies in A27 bypass collision

A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a crash in Polegate on Tuesday evening (June 28) has been named by police.

Jason Hosker, of St Phillips Avenue, Eastbourne, sustained fatal injuries when he came off his Yamaha motorbike on the A27 Polegate by-pass.

The 31-year-old was taken to Eastbourne DGH where he died from his injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The accident happened at around 5.35pm as Mr Hosker was travelling east along the dual-carriageway.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash and ask anyone with information to call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Kirkton.

Floral tributes have been left at the scene by Mr Hosker’s friends and family.

Pete and Gemma wrote, “It was an honour to have you in our lives.”

Another message left at the roadside by sister Charlotte said, “So many memories that I’ll have forever. I love you.”

And Mr Hosker’s parents wrote, “Our darling boy, words cannot say how much we will miss you. Many, many happy memories.”
