A local communications company has handed over an impressive £15,510 to SASBAH.
Saying a sad but triumphant farewell to their charity of the year for 2012, Chalvington Group were thrilled to present SASBAH with the cheque.
The twelve month period saw the team at Chalvington organise an annual quiz night, street collections, a daring group sky dive and fabulous grand charity dinner accompanied by their regular office-based activities.
Reflecting on the year Chalvington Group Operations Director Claire Baker, operations director at Chalvington, said, “Having spent 2012 working alongside, Rom, Tony, Claire and the rest of the team we feel truly privileged to have been so warmly welcomed into the SASBAH family, to have attended their events and to have had the pleasure to get to know some of the wonderful service users and their families.
“We believe we have benefited as much as them all in terms of the fun involved in organising and taking part in the events, and the enhanced sense of community and achievement it has brought to our growing organisation as a whole.
“As our first official ‘charity of the year’ we couldn’t have picked better.
“SASBAH’s constant enthusiasm and commitment to working in partnership proved that we had made the right decision every step of the way”
With 2013 already well underway the group are shortly due to release the calendar of fundraising events.
This year they have chosen a charity in East Hoathly called the Children’s Respite Trust.
The staff at Chalvington enjoyed raising funds last year and are hoping 2013 will also be fun-packed and adrenaline filled.
