Mobility scooter rider taken to hospital after being hit by car in Eastbourne

A woman has been taken to Eastbourne DGH this afternoon (Tuesday) after the mobility scooter she was driving was in collision with a car on the seafront.

The accident happened in Cavendish Place at 4.20pm the junction with the seafront opposite Eastbourne Pier.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
