Phone network 02 says it ‘could take a while’ for service to return to parts of Seaford.

A number of residents have experienced problems with their mobile connection on the 02 network over the past few days.

02 has sent a message to its customers saying: “The recent storms have badly damaged some of our equipment, which has affected our service in parts of Seaford.

“A team is on-site right now working hard to fix it, but the job could take a while.

“We really sorry for any inconvenience. To stay updated, visit http://s.o2.co.uk/LTgQBglB.”

Maria Caulfield, MP for Seaford, has been lobbying 02 to get the situation sorted. She said: “Mobile signal is vital to every part of life today, be it personal, business or otherwise, and so it is vital that this service is restored as soon as possible.

“Therefore, I was very pleased to hear that O2 already had a team on-site, and look forward to hearing that they have completed the necessary works.”
