Men arrested after man suffers suspected broken jaw in Seaford

Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing GBH after a man suffered a suspected broken jaw.

Police were called by the ambulance service to the scene of a suspected assault in Alfriston Road in Seaford - close to the Seven Sisters public house - at around 11.55pm on Saturday June 1.

Paramedics were treating a 50-year-old man with facial injuries and a suspected broken jaw.

Enquiries led to the arrest of a 57-year-old man from Seaford and a 42-year-old man from Peacehaven on suspicion of causing GBH. They were interviewed and bailed until June 20.

It is thought all three men had been drinking in the public house prior to the incident which happened in the street.
