THE MAYOR is holding a charity prom at the Town Hall on January 28 (11am-4pm).

The fair is to help raise funds for the mayor’s charity, the Tuesday O’Hara Fund, which supports local young people with cancer.

Mayor Carolyn Heaps said, “The prom fair will cater for anyone looking to find the perfect dress and accessories to fit any fabulous occasion this year.

“Whether it’s an end of year school prom, a wedding, or an important business function, the choice will be endless.

“Stalls will showcase everything from shoes and tiaras, to hairstylists and transport.

“Husbands and boyfriends won’t be left out with menswear stalls on hand.”

As well as two fashion shows, there will also be a raffle with a first prize of a prom dress worth £200 donated by Prom boutique.

Entry is £2.50 per family which includes a Mayor’s Mocktail on arrival.
