Mayor and mayoress of Seaford judge Waves fancy dress contest

A picnic and fancy dress competition were organised by Seaford charity Waves.

Dozens of people attended the event held at the Salts Recreation Ground in Seaford on Tuesday July 29.

The mayor of Seaford Mark Brown and the mayoress judged the fancy dress contest.

Families enjoyed parachute games led by Neal Stanton, minister in training at Seaford Baptist Church.

There were also races and cricket organised by Sean Olding, Seaford Baptist Church youth leader.

Bill Savidge from Waves worked with the children and mums on craft activities.

The charity works with children and families in Seaford supporting them as they meet the challenges of family life, offering help and support.

Mums, dads and carers can call in at the Drop In Centre in Church Street from Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 12.30pm.
