A popular town centre bar is getting set to re-open its doors.
Maxims in South Street suddenly closed its doors around six weeks ago, much to the dismay of many local revellers.
The Herald had understood that it was due to open to the public tonight (Friday September 27) but has since been informed that due to administrative issues it will now look to open next weekend from Friday October 4.
Jack Visick of Buskers in Seaside is taking over the running of the business.
Ahmad Mossahebi, his wife Bernadette and daughter Faye took over the running of the business in 1998 and the leasehold was sold in May. It was taken over from that period by one of its bouncers until around six weeks ago when it closed its door.
