MASONS in Pevensey handed over a pair of cheques worth £1,200 to Eastbourne Voluntary Lifeguards (EVL).

Members of the local lodge heading to the Boathouse in Fishermen’s Green, Royal Parade, to present the donations to the EVL’s chairman, Steve Marshall.

Mr Marshall thanked the masons for their gift and said he planned to put the money to good use by funding lifesaving training for young people who are working towards lifesaving awards.
