A man suffered a cut to his head after the car he was in left the road near Hailsham.

The incident happened on 8.20pm on Friday (May 3) and police, an ambulance and firefighters attended the scene. The vehicle had left the road between the Arlington Eagles roundabout and Cophall roundabout and a man in his 40s was trapped in the vehicle. He had injuries including a cut to his head and was also complaining of neck pain.

He was released by the fire service at 9.11pm and was taken to the DGH.
